is free, and alcohol is B.Y.O.B.
may 1985-psi com releases a self financed 1500 press release of
it's first and only album. perry farrell said he was done with it as soon
as the album was released. perry wanted to experiment with mind altering
drugs and enhance his life and the band members of psi com did not share
his view.

com, and possibly a new band. eric avery is suggested by carla bozulich,
the future vocalist for ethel meatplow and geraldine fibbers.
sept. 1985-perry and eric start jane's addiction. the two play
as a duo for a short time. perry has said eric came in and played this
one riff for 45m while he sang over top and that did it. eric has also
said his favorite song is "mountain song" because that is the
first song he and perry wrote together.
dec. 1985-perry and eric add a guitarist and drummer. not dave
or stephen yet. chris brinkman was the guitarist for a short time.
jan. 1986-a guy simply known as ed replaced chris before their
first show. the drummer at this time was also playing in another band.
jan. 10 1986-that line up plays at least one show at the black
radio club as jane's addiction. dave has said he and stephen were at the
first jane's addiction show and this could have been it. not pleased with
the sound perry and eric look to replace their guitarist and drummer.
feb. 1986-stephen perkins is suggested by eric avery's sister rebecca,
also stephen's girlfriend, as drummer. dave is said to have felt abandonned
by stephen for leaving dizastre for jane's addiction. stephen assured
that the current guitarist ed wasn't too impressive and that stephen could
get dave in the band. soon after stephen suggests david navarro, his old
band mate, as guitarist. both dave and stephen fit right in and completed
the final line up. this line up start playing out in LA right away and
actually wrote their complete song catalog from this period till early

one acoustic and one electric. jane's would come out and play an acoustic
set, and then the opening band would come out and then jane's would play
their electric set. both were recorded for the first release on triple
X records. it's later admitted the band did quite a bit of overdubbing
for this "live" record, including using audience sounds from
a La Bamba record.
feb. 1987-the album won't be out until may but the band already
has a bidding war for major labels. the band is looking for artistict
freedom and not necessarily the biggest pay check.

said to even have broke up at this time and came to a some what pleasing
agreement. perry is said to have large chunk of the credits.

and some just resting.
jan. 1990-this was the new time set for recording the follow up
to nothing's shocking. this recording session finding the members even
more torn than the previous. "three days" was the only song
that brought all four members to the studio at the same time as well as
the record execs. to check them out. all were very pleased with three

everything a young person needs to know, art tents, and pretty much anything
festive. unfortunately as jane's set was coming to a close a fist fight
broke out between perry and dave. dave throwing his guitar stuff in the
crowd and leaving stage only to be chased off by perry and tackled. they
were both talked into one more song to end the set and dave droped out
half way through. things were looking ruff. all was chalked up to drugs.
