Another band that should have called it a day a long time ago.

I saw The Who back in '79 on their first tour after Keith Moon died and I thought it was an excellent show. But since then, I've seen hours and hours of footage and official releases with Moon when they were at their prime and I realized that the show I saw was merely "ok" in comparison. When I saw them again in '82 with The Clash opening, I thought they were tired old dinosaurs putting on a half-hearted stadium show who were doing the right thing calling it a day when they did. I occasionally hear comments from people who've seen them over the past decade they're as good as ever and I gotta wonder wtf these people are mainlining. They're the very definition of rock n' roll cabaret.

that medley of 35-40 year old songs sucked all the life and excitement out of the stadium and game. that was horrible sitting through that, and I was at home with a remote at the ready. lol.

they've gone from classic rock to geezer rock.

nothing like a safe, non threatening and non relevant band to entertain millions and millions of people.
the light show was the best part, and the custom red white and blue cymbals.

just another "band" who can't quit, despite being down to just the last 2 members.
Dave Navarro's guitars & Eric Avery's basses.....to return soon, maybe.

I saw them too in 82 at Shea Stadium.

Gregg Williams is the Saints defensive coordinator. The Animal Trainer!
So glad it was his defense that really put that game away.
Maybe some of ya know... but Williams was one of the many talented people who got screwed over by Cerrato and Snyder of the Redskins.

So, congrats toGregg for putting it in their face!

So at the end of the season no one cares... I personally love NO even now after all the non french quarter parts drowned, but no one there cared about the Saints until they were winning, I've seen 3 times as many Cowboy jerseys... so I hope they enjoy it and don't get back to the 90-day rule.

The Saints aren't even in my teams division so after the SB I don't care...
But I am happy for the long suffering Saints fan.

the day before the Superbowl I watched South Park's episode "AWESOME-O" (7th season, I think? 7th or 8th)

Cartman is pretending to be a robot and someone asks him who's going to win the Superbowl... he says "New Orleans", and everyone starts laughing.

One of the best episodes ever, of any series.

So when is the superbowl this year?
It should be coming up pretty soon shouldn't it?
I thought it was like around February each year.
Who is going to be in it?
Anyone have any predictions as to the outcome?
